I sincerely went in their with extremely low assumptions. I left The Devil in Me because everything else follows the same formula and will never compare to the original Exorcist. I can think of three good movies about exorcism. The Exorcist, Exorcist 3, and Emily Rose’s exorcism. The plot really picks up speed! Although there is no real character development, I will say that Russell Crowe plays the role admirably. It’s a great performance mixed with a joke; whatever it is, it works! It doesn’t really do anything novel; we’ve seen everything before, but this was better than expected for some reason. Give it some time.

Story: Plot: Retired DySP Udhayabhanu narrates events of his professional life in a TV program. That is how he reveals the intriguing details of the ‘Chepanamthota case’, a milestone event in his career. A string of events was set off when the strict Circle Inspector Jayashankar and SI Karthik, who had a history of earning punishment transfers in quick succession, started working together. They were often at loggerheads with their differing approaches to situations and solutions. Under the watchful eyes of family, friends, foes and superiors, they go about trying to unravel the tangled mess they find themselves in, each in his own inimitable style.
