I sincerely went in their with extremely low assumptions. I left The Devil in Me because everything else follows the same formula and will never compare to the original Exorcist. I can think of three good movies about exorcism. The Exorcist, Exorcist 3, and Emily Rose’s exorcism. The plot really picks up speed! Although there is no real character development, I will say that Russell Crowe plays the role admirably. It’s a great performance mixed with a joke; whatever it is, it works! It doesn’t really do anything novel; we’ve seen everything before, but this was better than expected for some reason. Give it some time.

Storyline, The film depicts the struggle in the erstwhile Hyderabad State after India gained independence on August 15, 1947. While the rest of the country celebrated freedom and liberation, the British Hyderabad State remained under the control of the Nizam for another year. During this time, people faced oppression from the ruthless Razakars. The film depicts the atrocities committed by the Nizam and Razakars with extreme fanaticism and the courageous acts of the heroes who fought against them.
