I sincerely went in their with extremely low assumptions. I left The Devil in Me because everything else follows the same formula and will never compare to the original Exorcist. I can think of three good movies about exorcism. The Exorcist, Exorcist 3, and Emily Rose’s exorcism. The plot really picks up speed! Although there is no real character development, I will say that Russell Crowe plays the role admirably. It’s a great performance mixed with a joke; whatever it is, it works! It doesn’t really do anything novel; we’ve seen everything before, but this was better than expected for some reason. Give it some time.

Story: Plot: Inside of his book, adventurous Harold (Zachary Levi) can make anything come to life simply by drawing it. After he grows up and draws himself off the book’s pages and into the physical world, Harold finds he has a lot to learn about real life – and that his trusty purple crayon may set off more hilarious hijinks than he thought possible. When the power of unlimited imagination falls into the wrong hands, it will take all of Harold and his friends’ creativity to save both the real world and his own.
